Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing on behalf of the vibrant and enthusiastic Indian community in Kuwait, comprising nearly 1 million members. We are elated to hear about the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s visit to Kuwait on *Saturday, 21st December 2024, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Smt. Indira Gandhi's historic visit in **1981*. This momentous occasion holds immense pride and significance for the entire Indian diaspora in Kuwait.
However, we were saddened to learn that the event being organized by the Indian Embassy can only accommodate 4,000 attendees due to venue constraints. We understand that the unavailability of stadiums, reportedly due to ongoing football league matches, has posed a challenge. This limitation, unfortunately, leaves the majority of the Indian community unable to participate in this historic occasion.
In light of this, we humbly request your esteemed office to arrange for a *roadshow or brief motorcade* along a prominent route, such as Gulf Street, which has previously been used for public events like marathons. Such an arrangement would provide an opportunity for a larger number of Indians to see our beloved leader and make this visit truly inclusive and memorable.
We are confident that the Hon'ble PMO, with its ability to coordinate with Kuwaiti authorities, can secure the necessary permissions for such an event. This initiative would uplift the spirits of the Indian community in Kuwait and further strengthen the goodwill and friendship between India and Kuwait.
We sincerely hope you will consider this heartfelt request and make this historic visit a celebration for all Indians in Kuwait.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Warm regards,
Indian Community Representative
